Applications are invited from Eligible Indian citizens for TWO POSTS of Field assistants under the West Bengal DST funded project entitled:

"Assessment of the Status, density and diversity of migratory and resident marine birds over the West Bengal Coast and to report for future planning"

Principal Investigator: Dr. Supratim Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, Government General Degree College, Singur.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Honours graduate in Zoology/wildlife/conservation biology

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Specialization in Ecology.
  • Experience / knowledge on identification of coastal birds (e.g., Warders, Gulls, Terns)

Note:

  • The Appointment will be purely temporary for one year (subject to availability of funds as well as satisfactory performance). Candidates have to spend at least 15 days/month in the coastal areas of West Bengal.
